What is autism?
Autism is a complex neurological disorder that affects social functioning, communication, and behavior. It is estimated to affect as many as 1 in 59 children. Developmental differences can be detected in toddlers as young as one year (12 months of age). See more on our About Autism page.

How effective is early intervention/treatment?
Progressive ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy has proven to be extremely effective in successfully transforming the lives of affected children and their families, especially when applied early in toddlers' development.

The Autism Center for Children is proud to offer the most important and impactful services for your child, family or clients: accurate identification and treatment of autism -- at the earliest possible signs of detection -- for the most immediate, profound and lasting improvement in their quality of life.
To whom are the Autism Center for Children’s services available?
Our specialized services are available to families of:
- Children under 24 months for autism assessment
- Children under 24 months for intake for treatment after an autism diagnosis, featuring our intensive ABA treatment (lasting up to age 5 or prior graduation or transition)
- Best opportunities for entrance into the Autism Center for Children are at either the 12- or 18-month well child check
How do I initiate services with the Autism Center for Children?
We are currently accepting referrals for comprehensive autism evaluation (psychological testing). Our mission is to identify and treat autism at the earliest sign of developmental deviation to capitalize on early brain plasticity. Priority for intake to the Center is given to children under 24 months of age. Most referrals come in from families’ pediatricians, though we often get inquiries directly from parents themselves. If you are concerned or suspect autism, please reach out to your pediatrician or directly to us. Does the Autism Center for Children accept insurance?
Yes -- the Autism Center for Children is proud to offer a variety of payment options for assessment and treatment of autism. Under Private (Self-) Pay, the client has access to any treatment services provided, but can utilize their personal funds or insurance plans to pay for services. Services can be customized to fit the needs of the client. We also accept insurance including Aetna, Cigna and more. Check back here regularly to see others that have been added. Where are you located?
Our Center for autism is located at 2230 Towne Lake Parkway, Suite 1000-120, Woodstock, GA 30189. We are conveniently located in Woodstock just off I-575 North at Exit 8 (west on Towne Lake Parkway). From here we can service families and pediatricians from southern Cherokee County and East Cobb County, especially those in Acworth, Canton, Holly Springs, Kennesaw, Marietta and Woodstock.
